Mock the Flock Art Fair - November 23rd 2008
Despite the
inches of snow lying on the ground, we had a truly memorable day with
nearly all the stall holders turning up - as well as the winners of our
School Arts Competition, seen below with Megumi Yamaguchi (see list for
winners). The Kidgate School Choir entertained those present with a medley
of Christmas songs , followed by the Irish Dancers from Lacey Gardens.
Amnesty International were present to inform people of their work and had
children colouring rainbow messages to send those incarcerated through injustice
around the world. We also raised £157.56 for their cause .
We would just like to thank everyone who turned up to support MTF - and
all those who helped behind the scenes without whom the event could not
have happened. You were truly brilliant and much appreciated - but
particularly Pat and Laura who kept us all fed and watered! School

October 26th - Fair in the Square
We were on the stall despite the deluge !
We had the Big Louth Poem to start in which we invited all comers to add a line
headed "Louth to me is...". We will publish the result in the first
2009 mag. We also had people paint themselves on a picture of Louth - which was
fun - and asked people to apply message bandages to the screaming head world .
